This series of webinars is part of the Underscore ‘HR Professional Development’ Programme – Solution Design Module. Each workshop is facilitated by a subject matter expert via a virtual platform. Webinars are interactive and practical. Delegates will have the opportunity to practice skills during or between webinars as appropriate and receive a practical toolkit to immediately apply in the workplace.

This module will provide HR professionals with the knowledge, skills and tools to be able to engage business leaders in the design of Target Operating Models, compare current operating models to future strategic intent and validate insights via workshops.

Each of the following webinars is 60 minutes long and can be booked individually or combined with webinars across other modules to create a bespoke learning package focused on your specific requirements.

  • Interpret business capability gaps (processes, systems and people)
  • Explain how to use TOM to translate strategic intent into operational reality
  • Describe different TOM Design approaches – organisation level vs. functional

  • Apply tools and techniques to capture current operating processes
  • Conduct multi-dimensional analysis of current operating models
  • Analyse centralised vs. decentralised models for insights
  • Analyse autonomy and standardisation of process, technology, skills and culture

  • Apply knowledge and facilitation skills to facilitate effective TOM design workshops
  • Capture and document Insights from TOM workshops
  • Utilise TOM examples to facilitate TOM design participants decision making
  • Demonstrate the skills to facilitate a virtual TOM Design Workshop

  • Apply the Underscore TOM Design process to a simple real world project
  • Receive feedback on practice exercise
  • Identify when to engage external support in TOM design projects
  • Apply tools and techniques to link TOM Design to strategic objectives
