Following on from my first blog about Schedule Diagnostics. We have now imported our schedule and looked at some of the problem areas but perhaps we want to explore the logic in a bit more detail.
Still in the S2//Diagnostics tab you have the ability to trace logic, you can select activities and trace logic, forwards, backwards or do a full trace path between two activities allowing you to fully analyse the logic in a schedule.
You also have the S2/Logic tab (as seen below) giving an amazing array of features to identify logic and logic issues. You can use the toolbar to identify lags, leads, out of sequence, dangling activities and many other things.
For any problem areas identified you can again either make the changes in the source schedules or use the CLEANSE SCHEDULE feature in S1//Projects.
You also have a LOGIC SENSITIVITY option allowing you to choose an activity that might slip and test how this could affect another activity.
That’s just a short intro to some of the powerful logic features available in FUSE. Next time we’ll look at all the Trend and Comparison Analysis.
